A Study on the Content & Degree of Anxiety of Patient on the Hemodialysis


Abstract
Artificial Kidney & renal transplantation have become the most important treatment of C.R.F.
Now the number of patient requiring dialysis therapy is increasing rapidly, largely du: to expanded medical insurance & improved economic status.
Therefore the purpose of this study was to provide further information & effective nursing intervention for the anxiety decrease by studying the content & degree of anxiety of patient on hemodialysis.
For this study anxiety instruments was used questionnaire composed of 29 items of anxiety. The subjects for this study were 107 patients on hemodialysis in four general hospital 1
hospital in Jin-Ju, Masan city, from Feb. 12, to Mar. 3, 1990. The data were analysed .y
the on hundredth percentage T-test, ANOVA & pearson correletion coefficient. The result of this study were as follows.
1. Significant difference was showed physical anxiety in the content & degree of anxiety by sex & education level.(p(0.05)
2. Significant difference was showed physical anxiety by experience of operation. (p<0.01
3. Significant difference was showed socioeconomic anxiety in the content & degree of anxiety by the number of admission. (p<0.05 )
4. Significant difference was showed hospital-environmental anxiety & socioeconomic anxiety in the content & degree of anxiety by duration of dialysis.(p<0.05)
5. Significant difference was showed physical anxiety in the content & degree of anxiety by rehabilitation grading. (p<0.01)
